    There are many reasons for River Bend's popularity. (1) It is among the lowest taxed Towns in the State, (2) State of the art hospital facilities and an abundance of medical facilities and long term care. River Bend has a very active real estate market.  During the 1st quarter of 2004, 32 homes were sold while 20 were under contract. Average selling price was $137,059 which was 97.84% of the asking price.  Average square feet was 1611.25.  Price ranges  $0 to $99,999 (12) $100,000 to $149,999 (11), $150,000 to $199,999 (4) $200,000 to $249,999 (4) and one at over $300,000.  The majority of homes sold (18) were in the 1000 to 1500 square feet range.
