Native to Madagascar.... it has adapted itself to tolerate dryness and high heat conditions... it has thick leaves that are covered with soft fuzzy hairs.... the tips of the plant have a reddish/brown color... it will grow to be about 1 1/2 feet tall
Moisture - allow the top 2 inches of the soil to dry between waterings... during the winter it will benefit from a short dormant period... barely water during this rest... just enough to keep the soil from becoming completely dry...
Light - high light is best with a little direct sun
Temperature - it will tolerate cool to warm temps... it should be given cool temps during the winter time
Fertilize - 3 times in the summer with a 10-30-10 solution
Pests - mealybugs
Repotting - rarely... use a well drained soil mixture
Propagation - leaf cuttings or stem cuttings
Tips - this plant tolerates pruning well...but it will very rarely need to be pruned
